Hello Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my site!

Yukumi Takizawa is a Los Angeles-based gospel singer, songwriter, musician, worship leader, and actress, known for her soulful voice and passionate, heartfelt performances. Born and raised in Japan, her musical journey began in junior high school when she first picked up the saxophone. In 2006, she traveled to Florida with her high school brass band, performing at local concerts and even at Disney World—a formative experience that deepened her love for music and performance.
Inspired by Michael Jackson’s This Is It documentary in 2009, Yukumi felt a powerful calling to become a professional artist. In 2011, she moved to the United States to pursue that dream, studying jazz and vocal performance under acclaimed mentors including Dee Dee McNeil, Billy Mitchell, Aimee Nolte, and Stacy Lee. This training expanded her musical palette to include jazz, pop, R&B, and gospel.
Her spiritual journey began shortly after moving to the U.S., where she was introduced to Christianity and eventually converted—an experience that transformed both her life and music. Through faith and community, she found renewed purpose and direction, using music as a way to uplift, heal, and inspire.
In 2016, Yukumi released her first album Believer, followed by the 2019 single Feel His Love, under the artist name Kettison. She later embraced gospel music more fully, becoming a worship leader at Pasadena Church and performing in various gospel concerts and events across Southern California.
Most recently, she appeared as a backup singer for Shiya Fujinami at Taste of Japan 2025 in Anaheim, CA. Expanding her artistic reach, she also stepped into acting—bringing her vibrant energy and presence to the short film WEirD Detention in July 2025.
Yukumi continues to write, perform, and serve through music, sharing messages of hope, love, and faith with every note.
